Srila BV Narayan Maharaja "I came only to preach this real philosophy of life"

I have come here to serve my Gurudeva, Srila Bhaktiprajnana Kesava Gosvami Maharaja, as well as my siksa-guru Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja. I am happy that to some extent I am successful in my mission. So many sincere devotees, who were feeling themselves so far from Krsna consciousness, have come in my association; and I have tried to help them all.

For some reason however, some people are opposed to my preaching activities. In that regard there is nothing I can do; I am helpless. I can only beg forgiveness from them. I had no intention to do anything wrong to them. I came only to preach this real philosophy of life, which Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu wanted to give, and which Swamiji wanted to give.

But even in these auspicious activities of preaching, some may be upset. They are thinking that they are serving their Guru Maharaja, Srila Swami Maharaja by such opposition; but actually they are ignorant, not understanding that my mission is the same as that of Srila Swami Maharaja. I want to give them an opportunity to understand properly. And I pray that Sri Nityananda Prabhu will help them. I had no intention to disturb anyone, but as they are feeling some pinching in their heart, some suffering by my coming here, then I beg their pardon. I pray that by approaching them, they will be very kind to me and forgive me. I want to gather all devotees, wherever they may be in the world, and without consideration of caste and creed, I want to help them all. This is actually the duty of all devotees.

So I am very much obliged to you all, that you are enduring so many discomforts here. Although you are all rich and have so many material facilities in your own homes, you gave up all these things, and you are meeting with me in these forest and hills. And these three weeks have passed as a moment's dream, so I am indebted to you all.

dandavat pranams, prabhu!

thank you for sharing your thoughts of concern. i feel the same. my first reaction when i became aware of these issues some years ago, was very similar to yours; i was in utmost pain. after finally finding a way to be nearer to pure vaishnavas, there came this bolt of anger, pride and hatred. i simply had to shut it out of my awareness for some time. now it seems to me things are not just as easy as appealing to people“s common sense and their sense of responsibility. it seems that there must and will be a solution not from human minds and hands... i do share your beautiful vision of the day after the storm.

a "bystander" devotee for thirty years (loose contact to iskcon, never joined), i was allowed to receive from srila narayana maharaj harinam and diksha. since then, srila praphupada, whom i saw with reverence but not near to my life, has become dearer to me every single day. reading his books now reaches my heart and teaches me to aspire to serve sri sri radha and krishna in every moment of my life.

whatever the agenda of agitators against srila narayana maharaj may be, let us all defend Him when necessary, but let us never ever attack anyone in any way, however subtle!

radhe radhe!

how powerful would this movement be if we all worked in unison

Dandavads to all

You are of course completely right, how powerful would this movement be if we all worked in unison, these offensive mentalities are like a ugly dark cloud on a clear blue sky and we need a powerful strong wind to disperse it.

Who is the real guru, the one who is teaching and ordering His disciples not to criticise anyone, or the one who does not stop ( maybe even encourages) his disciples to criticise a maha-bhagavata devotee of the Lord, sending himself and his disciples to hell in this way? The answer and choice of guru is totally clear.

Personally, I am very proud and happy to be a follower of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja

May be a steady flow (ones per month) of non confrontational protest to all of Iskcons temples, presidents,to iskcon devotees and GBCs by all of Gurudevas disciples via email, quoting sastra and so on in a nice vaisnava manner, without offending anyone would make some difference. I know where to get all Iskcon devotees emails from.

Please continue your very nice service, just tolerate

Hare Krsna Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Guru, Gauranga, and all true vaishnavas.

I understand and appreciate your sentiments. Perhaps pointing out to others, that committing offence against the devotees of the Lord, is not limited only to those within ISKCON is a good idea. It is also true, that just becuase a devotee may on the surface appeared to have left Iskcon, at least the physical temple, this does not mean he has "blooped" or become a karmi. In the BG it is stated that the activities of the devotee and karmi on the surface appear the same, the difference is their motivation, who do they offer the fruit to, themselves, or Krsna.

So while I want to point out, that your plea and call for devotees to stop criticising and quarrelling, unfortunately is a futile call. You cannot stop Kali yuga, no one can because it is Krsna's will to happen. Men of little intelligence will criticize, just as dogs will bark. So nevermind them. Ignore them.

In order to assist others to actually rise above this all-divisive bodily conception, my body, my camp, my country, my race, my guru, my clan, my my my me me me, this bodily disease, the "aspiring" devotees must be elevated at least to second class madhyam adhikari platform. Otherwise it is not possible. On the bodily platform, everything is divisive. I know many so called nice matajis who insist on marrying only those devotees who have been initiated from their guru, same camp. Such brainwashing only serves to further divide and motivate by fear, fear of spying or whatever. This power mongoring has been conducted in the past by the karma jada smatas, and will continue to be done, in the name of God.

The only way to elevate others to rise above the bodily conception and realize what is real kinship and eternal family, is that they must become purified. So how to purify?
By saying "Dont do that", is not the best remedy in my opinion.
Better to say "do that".
And better simply, to not address at all any insults. Just tolerate. The Real Vaishnavas whose only business is to serve Krsna and try to save the fallen souls, from the moment he sets foot into the material universe, he immediately must tolerate so many countless, countless offenses. The material universe, is the universe of envy.
1 way of looking at it, is that "ah, they have become envious of guru majara, this is evidence that guruji must be doing something correctly".
But this is still material vision.
Spiritual vision one should realize "ah, these poor fallen souls, so conducted by envy, false ego, false pride, they are insulting me but thats ok, just chant Hare Krsna and hear Harikatha and thats alright".
So how to purify? How to save?
By telling them about Krsna and His countless opulences.

Materially, it is a wise tactic practiced by some governments and media, when someone gives insult, to NOT reply to the insult and not address it. If someone says "you are a thief" and immediately one becomes defensive, providing so much evidence that he is not a thief, then people will become suspicious, why he is defensive, what has he got to hide? Wiser tactic is to simply ignore. Ignore such envy and criticism and simply remember the instructions of a pure guru if one is so fortunate to have close association, or simply the instructions in the written form and remember Krsna's lotus feet, and all guidance and strength will come.

It is said, as the elephant leads the caravan through the village, the dogs will bark, but even though the dogs bark, the elephant and the caravan, passes on.

So let the dogs bark, this sampradaya and sankirtana must go on, for the good of all, for the pleasure of Govinda and Guru, and ultimately also for our own greatest happiness, and the end to the suffering of the fallen conditioned souls.

It is said in Chinese "Man is doing, God is witnessing".
So whatever bad we do, even if our neighbors do not know, but Krsna knows, Paramatma knows, and Yamaraja knows.
And whatever good we do, even if no one knows, but Krsna knows. Krsna knows and that is enough. That is a vaishnavas only concern.

The world can criticize and condemn and hate me, that is alright, but please wont you just chant a little Hare Krsna, and come listen to Krsna's pastimes, Krsna is the greatest friend, the only friend, only shelter, only home. Krsna is so kind, he has given all facility to the living entities to enjoy and fulfill their desires, and though we ignore Him and forget Him still he is always sitting in our hearts, smiling at us, simply waiting for us to turn our faces back to Him.

So this is the way. Ignore the barking of dogs, and keep telling every and anyone who will listen, just how God is great, how Krsna is so wonderful. And by this listening process, their hearts will be purified and gradually they will rise to the platform where they can realize the unity of the eternal family, united by love of Krsna, love of God, above and beyond any outer material dress and all such petty camps.

Please continue your very nice service, just tolerate, people criticise and are envious because they are diseased, try to save them and tolerate. Just like a doctor must adminster some medicine to save a patient, but the patient is diseased and deranged, he does not know what he is doing, so he may kick and bite and scratch. But to save the patient the doctor simply tolerates. This is why Jesus Christ said "forgive them Father, they know not what they do". So we must tolerate, but tolerate does not mean inactions or weakness. No. There is action, chant, preach, tell everyone about Krsna, simply repeat the sastras as they were spoken to us without deviation, share your realizations, in all that you speak make Krsna the center and all success will come. Srila Prabhupada was able to praise Jesus and even called him "my lord", since Jesus is teaching love of God and we are teaching love of God, how there is any difference? If Srila Prabhupada's real disciples can realize this, then how much more easily they can realize the same if Srila Narayana Maharaja is saying "try to love Krsna", then anyone with a brain will realize "ah, here is a real devotee". But those who have not risen above the bodily conception and material platform of false ego, false pride, bodily consciousness, racism, nationalism, and camp-ism, they are simply fools and barking dogs, but the caravan, the sankirtana, the Harikatha must go on. So tolerate and perservere, and always speak about the glories of Krsna. No need to address the barking of dogs. When the king seated on a palanquin is passing through the streets, does he stop to speak to a dog who barks? A dog barks because he has no intelligence, and the king without pause continues about his royal business. How much more exalted and opulent is the business of a vaishnava, spreading the glories of God for the salvation of the living entities, and tolerating so many insults just like Krsna rose in the chariot at Kuruksetra and to save Arjuna from being shot by a hurled weapon, accepted the missile full in the chest and it turned into a flower garland, I forgot the name of this weapon, it was given by Vishnu to one of the king's ancestors, he rode an elephant. Anyway, the idea is there, you can research it, but the point is such animosity and envy are merely symptoms of the diseased patients, and so we can embrace and accept such hardship on behalf of Krsna, in this way, such insults are like flower garlands.

Telling fools "dont do this, it is not wise" is useless. They have no intelligence and are conducted, nay, dictated by their bodily urges and lust, envy, wrath.
But tell them of Krsna!
Ahhh......
Surely with time this hearing of Krsna will cleanse their hearts, the Holy Name of Krsna is the only cleansing agent to wash away the accumulated filth and layers of material lust covering the soul. So like a battering ram that strikes down a castle gate, repeatedly pound and wash at the layers of filth covering the listeners heart by telling them about the glories and beauty and opulence of Krsna, again and again.
There is no other way.

Thank you for your wonderful service and please continue with renewed determination. Nevermind the barking of dogs, this mission must go on and while we are here, we have a chance to help this all auspicious and all conquering sankirtana, a chance even the devas would envy. So please help save everyone, tell them about Krsna.

Nimai

all glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga!

Yes, it seems to me that many devotees fail to see the need for progressing in spiritual life.
They get stuck in the externals of an institution and think they will be saved at the time of death.

I too cannot understand why "Vaisnava's" fail to respect other Vaisnava's, wheras they are supposedly showing mercy to non-devotees.
Too me, even the many interfaith dialogues are hypocrite when devotees belonging to other matha's are disrespected.

You certainly have my full support. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Srila Narayan Maharaja. " ...Gaura bhakta Vrinda." Hare Krsna, Rohini-suta dasa (ACBSP 1977)

I had about as much business being there as a corn plant in a rice field

I was initiated by Srila Prabhupada in 1973 in the month of march after spending 6 months in the temple and later after another 6 months i was given second initiation.I had about as much business being there as a corn plant in a rice field and i knew little of vedic knowledge.I believe that Sri Krsna is directing the living entities throughout life and i believe that Srila Narayan Maharaja is truly one of the most advanced if not the most advanced and i truly believe that his followers are most fortunate. If i didnt have Srila Prabhupada believe me i would be in like a dirty shirt.
Arrogance truly does break apart the best of tribes, let us pray to Lord NITYANANDA to help us all see clearly.

Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayan Maharaja

Hello
Gaurunga Hare Krsna everyone!!
All glories to Srila Narayan Maharaja, Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and all Vaisnavas..
All true Vaisnava's are eternal, real and trancendental. They are merciful, self realised and especially full of Gaura Prema. No matter what their external situation.
Basically to keep this short, I would like to mention, that I was very pleased to finally come in contact with Narayan Maharaja, after being connected to ISKCON for about 5 years.
I met Srila Maharaja in Sri Vrindavan Dham, and was forever changed for the good, thereafter.
He is highly qualified, very experienced, learned and full of prema. Please try to take some of his mercy in one way or another. Appreciate him and the teachings he is illuminating. There are many real devotees of Krsna on the planet, weather they know it yet or not, form this group or that. But not many that are as senior and as advanced in Krsna Bhakti as Srila Maharaja. Personaly I have no qualification to glorify him or the Vaisnavas. Unfortunately I was not educated properly and truthfully in ISKCON about Srila Maharaja, otherwise I would have met him earlier. Krsna's hand is in everything though and he has the ultimate plan.

My saviour Srila Gurudeva

Hare Krsna and Dandavat Pranams.

My name is Acyuta Dasa from South Africa.
Srila Gurudeva is my saviour,my hero
and he is everything to me and my family.
We took shelter of Srila Gurudeva by reading
his books which is overflowing with Rasamrta.
We had the the great oppurtunity of meeting
our beloved Srila Gurudeva in Vraja Dham 2
years in a row.

Why we came to Srila Gurudeva? Because we
understood that here is an Uttama Maha
Bhagvat which the Vedic scriptures
describe and sing their glories.
We are extremely happy and fortuanate
To have Srila Gurudeva as our Diksha
Guru.

How I met Srila Narayan Maharaja

I met Srila Narayan Maharaja in Hawaii in 1997. I am an initiated devotee of Srila Prabhupada since 1971.
A few devotees got together and hosted him for a festival. I was immediately impressed with him. He was a real Vaishnava. He changed the lives of many devotees who had fallen from the path of bhakti. We traveled to the other islands and put on festivals. Everyone was enthused and eager to hear HariKatha. Only foolish devotees with a poor fund of knowledge rejected him. If you hear and associate with a real sadhu and are not offensive then you will benefit immensely from that association.

"I Will Help Him"

I'm Maha Varaha Das. I took initiation from Srila Prabhupada in Dallas in 1974, and 1975.
Many years passed, and I heard about Srila Narayan Maharaja from my son in '02. My son, Krsna Balarama Das, introduced me to Narayan Maharaja in Badger CA in '04. I bowed down to him, and when I stood up, he kindly put his hand on my shoulder and said to the devotees, "I will help him".
As I write about this meeting I'm filled with gratitude. I humbly beg to take shelter at the lotus feet of Srila Narayan Maharaja.
Your Servant; Maha Varaha Das
